Our Founders, William Schonsheck, his daughter, Lisa Bruso and son-in-law, Scott Bruso established Detroit Eatz in 2018. The Schonsheck family has a long history and ties to not only Michigan, but Farmington as well. The family has owned this land and building since the early 90’s which was originally Burger King. William Schonsheck, also owned a sports card trading company in the heart of Farmington Hills where the family spent the majority their childhood. William has owned countless restaurants over the last 30 years including owning and operating 10 Burger Kings in the Metro Detroit Area. His insight and knowledge in fast food is highly sought after by many owners and restaurants alike. The idea behind Detroit Eatz came when the building was turned back over to William after being a Burger King for so many years.
Detroit Eatz is a new fast casual diner food drive thru restaurant which will offer many varieties of food from deli items to burgers to chicken fingers to fresh cut fries! The goal is to cater to an untapped market of receiving food at the pace YOU need it. Our state of the art drive thru system will showcase a light system which allows for you to choose food which is either ready now or has certain wait times, depending on your needs. The escape lane will allow for diners to pull over to wait for their food and it will be brought out to them, should they decide on food that takes a little longer. Certain items will only be available inside the restaurant. We will offer Online Ordering as well as Take Out.
